Splashfur opened her eyes, she was in Spiritclan. Her blue eyes streached open wide as she took in her surroundings. She was at gathering place, but it was perfect, not a thing wrong. She looked up to the sky, there were the stars but they were much closer than normal. Watching them, Splashfur realized they were descending towards her. As they got closer they took the forms of cats. Rows and rows of starry cats stood infront of Splashfur. There were many cats she reconized. "Oh, Lonestar," she whispered, tears filling her eyes. Spiritclan spoke to her, "Splashfur, are you ready to have nine lives, to lead a clan?" Splashfur gave an awed mew, "Yes, I am." "Then by the power of spiritclan, we give you nine lives," they mewed. Splashfur was scared, What will happen? she thought. A young golden Tom padded up, her apprentice, sunpaw. He reached up and touched his nose with her's. "With this life I give you courage, use it in times of fear," he mewed. Splashfur wasn't ready for the pain that
came with it. Her body stiffened as she tried to stop the blinding, but she felt like she could face anything. The pain ended as soon as it had started and Sunpaw walked away. Next padded up a pale ginger tabby she-cat, Sandyheart. Splashfur remembered her death as
well as the other. She had been fighting a badger when it had unexpectedly jumped on her
and bit her neck. The ginger warrior touched noses and said, "With this life I give you
loyalty, always remember your clan." Splashfur braced herself, this life was like nothing else, it was like knowing what she had to do. The pain ebbed away and Sandyheart walked back to the ranks of Spiritclan. Time went on and Splashfur gained five more lives, endurance, faith, hope, calmness, and optimisum. Two were left. An unfamiliar ginger Tom padded up to her. "I'm Flamestar, one of the first leaders of Waterclan. With this life I give you strength, use it when you are in need," he mewed, touching noses. This life didn't hurt, no, she felt like she had the strength of Tigerclan! The feeling faded there was still one more life. A white pelt padded forward, Iceeyes, her mother. "Iceeyes," Splashfur whispered. "I'm so proud of you, my darling," the white queen purred. Touching noses she said, "With this life I give you love, love all your clan as much as a queen her kits." Splashfur was so eagar to receive this life she almost yowled when an unexpected pain washed over her. She felt like she would kill anything that harmed her clan. Iceeyes padded back and Spiritclan mewed, "By our power we now give you your knew name, Splashstar, use your lives well," and with that they chanted her name over and over. Splashstar closed her eyes in happiness and when she opened them she was back by the moonrock.
